How to Get Here

There are three main airports that can be used to reach San Sebastian:

San Sebastian airport, Spain (EAS, 25 km. from the city center)

Next to the town of Hondarribia, about 30 minutes driving from San Sebastian city center. A small airport with domestic connections (Iberia) to Madrid and Barcelona. Very convenient whenever a connection through Madrid is possible. A taxi from the airport to San Sebastian city center is around 35 euros. The airport is also connected to the city center through bus lines E20 and E21 (operated by Ekialdebus).

Biarritz airport, France (BIQ, 50 km. from the city center)

40 minutes driving from San Sebastian city center. Convenient when flying from France or London. There is a direct bus connection between Biarritz Airport and San Sebastian city center, operated by PESA company (5-6 buses per day; timetable here)

Bilbao airport, Spain (BIO, 100 km. from the city center)

About 1 hour driving from San Sebastian city center. Bilbao is an international airport with connections to many major cities in Europe (London, Paris, Frankfurt, Brussels, Rome,...). The most convenient one for overseas travellers in terms of connections and air fares. A direct shuttle bus running every hour connects the airport with San Sebastian for about 17 euros.
